Hi there, hope you are having a relaxing evening…. I’m thinking of what we can do to make the 3rd Thursday event better.
So today, at drawing session we decided people don’t want to go to a “meeting”. And we tried to think of a way to better describe what we do on 3rd Thursday eve. We came up with a solution: call it the 3rd Thursday Salon (Didiand Sharon's idea)
Didi looked up the meaning of “salon”. Here is what it said: In French, the word "salon" has several meanings, referring to a living room (le salon) or, historically, a gathering of intellectuals, artists, and socialites to discuss ideas, or even an annual official art exhibition held in a grand room. The meaning of the gathering or exhibition is often capitalized as "Salon". Our new Art Center is pretty grand, right?
It fits pretty well. So… I agree we should probably change the name… what are your thoughts?
Also I think we should tell people we’d like it to be a pot luck… “light nosh” so to speak.
Then you know for sure, it’s meant to mingle and get to know each other ,, show our artwork and watch some artist briefly tell us about what their going to do at their next workshop
