Blastec is one of THE BEST tours we’ve ever enjoyed (.. and we’ve been on a LOT of tours!!) Blastec is an industrial cleaning company. They clean RAILROAD CARS!! 😳 and WATER TOWERS!! 😳 🤯

Mr. Paul Watts describes the international business of cleaning large objects.. which is Fascinating! .. Tells the story of his parents falling in love and deciding to start a Metal Shot, Large Object cleaning company.. I mean.. ?? Who sits down and says -
“Hey, David.”
“Yes, Lynn?”
“You are SO smart! ❤️ Let’s start our own Metal Shot, Large Object cleaning company.”
“Ok, Lynn, if you think it’s a good idea.”
??!!?? Who even DOES that?!!?
This is a Science tour extraordinaire! How do you SHIP something BIGGER than a railroad car? How do you keep the metal shot INSIDE the contraption? How do you maximize the angles inside so the shot bounces multiple times? How do you get rid of the STATIC ELECTRICITY that builds up? What kind of metal or metals do you use?
And THEN - the shop has industry-standard machines beside the Blastec equipment (scissor lift, industrial sweeper .. personal zamboni.. and I don’t the names of the other machines/ tools). We get to explore ALL of them!! ❤️ 🤓
Mr. Paul Watts LOVES his job and is passionate about Blastec. This is a FANTASTIC fieldtrip.
Wear closed-toe shoes and be hydrated before arrival (to minimize static electricity).
Presentations are ALWAYS family-friendly and interactive. Kids ask some of The Best questions. ❤️
