About this Event

Join us for the 3rd Symposium of Stanford RNA Medicine Program to celebrate a new era of RNA research. The RNA Medicine Program aims to accelerate the pace of discovery and translation of RNA science into human therapeutics. We designed this event to bring researchers and entrepreneurs together for multidisciplinary collaborations.

The one-day symposium has four sessions, with Dr. Drew Weissman and Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi as the Keynote speakers. The topics include:

  1. RNA Therapeutics
  2. AI and Computational Technology
  3. RNA Technology
  4. Round Table Networking with Industry Leaders

Additional confirmed speakers include: Bali Pulendran (Stanford), Felix Horns (Stanford), William Greenleaf (Stanford), Howard Chang (Amgen), Le Cong (Stanford), Fyodor Urnov (IGI, Berkeley), Ravi Majeti (Stanford), Stephen Quake (Stanford), Ryan Flynn (Harvard), Bill Robinson (Stanford), Eric Kool (Stanford).

This is an in-person event and we hope that everyone will be able to stay for the entire duration to maximize the opportunities for interaction and discussion.

The symposium will include breakfast (coffee & snacks), lunch, and a reception at the conclusion of the meeting.


Stanford RNA Medicine Program

The mission of the program is to accelerate the pace of discovery and translation of RNA science into human therapeutics. The RNA field has a lot of recent and exciting developments with the potential to impact multiple aspects of biology and medicine. We endeavor to bring people together in this new era of RNA research and facilitate multidisciplinary collaborations. More details about the program can be found here .



Poster Session

The event will include a poster session during the evening reception. We welcome abstract submissions by Friday, March 28, 2025. Please use this to submit presenter and poster details.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the organizers to ensure that the topic submission is consistent with the symposium theme. Authors reserve the right to publish their work elsewhere.


COVID-19 Policy

A s of this time, there are no specific COVID-19 requirements set by Stanford. However, Stanford continues to strongly recommend wearing face masks.

Arriving at the Event

Parking is located at the multi-story structure (Stock Farm Garage) and ground lot on the corner of Stock Farm Road and Oak Road. For faculty and employees, there are general paid parking areas available throughout when using the Stanford parking permits.

For visitors, pay parking spots are located at the ground parking lot as indicated by green signage. Please download and install ParkMobile on your smart phone and follow the instructions listed to set your visitor parking.

Li Ka Shing Learning and Knowledge Center is a walking distance away from the structure marked with a red star on the map.

The symposium will be held on the 2nd floor of Li Ka Shing Learning and Knowledge Center, inside Berg Hall. Please follow the signs posted outside the building to the 2rd floor by taking either the elevator or the main staircase facing a smaller temporary parking zone.
