This monthly contra dance meets most 3rd Saturdays at Go Dance Studio, in Northcross Mall Plaza near First Watch and Guitar Center (NE corner). You can double check schedule at taada.us.Contra dancing is a lively, social folk dance where partners form long lines and dance to traditional live music. Related to square dancing, English Country dance and Ceili dance, this dance form is a time-honored way of having serous fun.
No partners necessary. Beginners welcome. All dances taught and called. Newer dancers should arrive early for instructions on the basics.
Suggested admission $10 sliding scale. Tips for the band are appreciated.
