Welcome back, milongueros! You will be happy to know that OmCulture will continue running monthly Milongas on 3rd Fridays (alternating with Alternative Tango on 1st Fridays).Our new format will be to start each dance with a fun 'cool move' Rueda style lesson with the one and only Michelle Badion. The lesson is designed as an ice-breaker in which all participants pair up and practice and intro step, a 'cool move' in the middle and an outro step at which time all follows move up or down the line, Rueda style. It's super fun, allows all leads and follow to meet and dance with each other and gives everyone the opportunity to learn one more 'cool move'!
Our DJ this month is Seemanta Dutta. As a tango DJ, Seemanta specializes in classical tango music from the golden age and beyond. He takes great care in reading the crowd to manage their energy and enhance their dance experience. His goal is to keep the milonga atmosphere vibrant and engaging by weaving popular tango music with lively and energetic cortinas, ensuring that dancers can enjoy their dances and embraces throughout the milonga."
