The Athens Pop Underground Fest is becoming an institution, placing Athens alongside the global metropolises that keep the flag of our beloved indie pop scene flying high (Madrid, Glasgow, Paris, Cologne, Malaga, Manchester, Indiefjord, etc.).
Just like the past two years, this year as well, some of the legends who created, continued, spread, and still carry on shaping the scene will parade at Half Note, living for the music, not by music.
The bands and artists participate on a voluntary basis, traveling at their own expense to be part of the two-day party that will be held again this year. All bands will perform for the first time in Greece, except of course for the Greek ones.
The most influential band in Australian Pop (The Cannanes), this year’s representatives of Great Britain and Sarah Records (Secret Shine) with their authentic shoegaze that we’ve learned to love, far from today’s fake versions, the top Norwegian garage poppers (Astroburger) who will blow your mind, the Swedish synth poppers (Red Sleeping Beauty) with dozens of releases and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the scene (Amelia Fletcher, Mary Wyer, etc.), the American-Norwegian as duo this time, The High Water Marks, featuring Hilarie Bratset, founding member of the indie collective Elephant Six and Apples In Stereo, the beloved German jangle poppers The BV’s, who rightfully are considered one of the biggest names of the new generation, and the local stars Next Time Passions with many years on their back, who recently released their new album, the thunderous The Water Striders, who will soon release their second album, and finally, the representatives of Thessaloniki, Secret Postcards, who are now receiving worldwide recognition and promise to give their best performance and thrill the crowd.
Get ready for the biggest DIY indie pop fest! Tickets will once again be low-priced, as the purpose of the event is not profit, but to cover some of the basic expenses.

During the two-day event, there will be merch from the bands and the old Bad Habits label, and, depending on the mood, free vinyls, CDs, and other items will be handed out. On Saturday, there will be a party until the end, with the loyal DJ Avril and members of the old Bad Habits crew on the decks!

Το Athens Pop Underground Fest τείνει να γίνει θεσμός και βάζει την Αθήνα δίπλα στις παγκόσμιες μητροπόλεις οι οποίες κρατάνε τη σημαία της αγαπημένης μας indie pop σκηνής ψηλά (Μαδρίτη, Γλασκώβη, Παρίσι, Κολωνία, Μάλαγα, Μαντσεστερ, Indiefjord, κτλ.).
Όπως και τα προηγούμενα δύο χρόνια, έτσι και φέτος θα παρελάσουν στο Half Note, μερικοί από τους θρύλους που δημιούργησαν, συνέχισαν, διέδωσαν και συνεχίζουν να το κάνουν, την σκηνή, ζώντας για τη μουσική και όχι από τη μουσική.
Τα συγκροτήματα και οι καλλιτέχνες συμμετέχουν αφιλοκερδώς και ταξιδεύουν με δικά τους έξοδα, για να λάβουν μέρος στο διήμερο πάρτι που θα στηθεί και φέτος, ενώ όλα τα συγκροτήματα θα εμφανιστούν για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, εξαιρουμένων των ελληνικών φυσικά.
Η πιο επιδραστική μπάντα της Αυστραλιανής Pop (The Cannanes), οι φετινοί εκπρόσωποι της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας και της Sarah records (Secret Shine) με το αυθεντικό shoegaze τους που μάθαμε να αγαπάμε, μακριά από τη μπασταρδεμένη έκδοση των ημερών μας, οι κορυφαίοι Νορβηγοί garage poppers (Astroburger) οι οποίοι θα σας πάρουν τα μυαλά, οι Σουηδοί synth poppers (Red Sleeping Beauty) με δεκάδες κυκλοφορίες και συνεργασίες με μερικά από τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα της σκηνής (Amelia Fletcher, Mary Wyer, κτλ), οι Αμερικανό-Νορβηγοί The High Water Marks, της Hilarie Bratset, ιδρυτικού μέλους της indie κολεκτίβας Elephant Six collective και των Apples In Stereo, οι πολυαγαπημένοι μας Γερμανοί jangle poppers The BV’s, οι οποίοι δικαίως θεωρούνται και είναι ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα της νέας γενιάς, αλλά και οι local stars Next Time Passions με πολλά χρόνια γραμμένα στο κοντέρ τους, οι οποίοι πρόσφατα κυκλοφόρησαν το νεό τους άλμπουμ, οι καταιγιστικοί The Water Striders, οι οποίοι σύντομα θα κυκλοφορήσουν το νέο τους, δεύτερο άλμπουμ και τέλος οι εκπρόσωποι της Θεσσαλονίκης Secret Postcards, οι οποίοι πλέον τυγχάνουν παγκόσμιας αναγνώρισης, υπόσχονται να δώσουν τον καλύτερο τους εαυτό και να συναρπάσουν τα πλήθη.
Ετοιμαστείτε για το μεγαλύτερο DIY indie pop πανηγύρι. Τα εισιτήρια και πάλι θα έχουν χαμηλή τιμή, αφού σκοπός της εκδήλωσης δεν είναι το κέρδος, για την κάλυψη μερικών από τα βασικά έξοδα.

Kατα τη διάρκεια του διημέρου θα υπάρχει merch από τις μπάντες και την old Bad Habits label και θα δοθούν και πάλι ανάλογα με τα κέφια δωρεάν βινύλια, cd’s και λοιπά items. To Σάββατο θα ακολουθήσει πάρτι μέχρι τελικής πτώσεως, με τον πιστό dj Avril και μέλη του old bad habits crew στα decks!
