About this Event
3rd Annual Soulful Thanksgiving Dinner: A Meal and Community Discussion
Come join us at the Cal Anderson Park Shelterhouse for a day filled with delicious food, meaningful connections, and community spirit. This gathering is for everyone, especially those who may not be able to travel to family or may need extra support during the holidays. We're preparing a warm, homemade meal for all, with a digital journalist on hand to capture our stories of thanks, legacy, and cherished memories.
In addition to sharing a meal, we’ll discuss community resilience and emergency preparedness. This is a chance to explore how we can support each other, share resources, and build stronger, self-determined communities that thrive before, during, and after disruptions. Here’s what we’d love to discuss with you:
- What do communities in the Puget Sound region want and need from a Resilience Hub?
- How can we prepare to ensure access to essential resources during extreme or catastrophic events?
- Where are community members already gathering in both normal (blue sky) and emergency (gray sky) times?
Let's work together to build relationships, share knowledge, and strengthen our community's ability to support one another, no matter the circumstances.
