About this Event
Our son, Ryan Philip Taylor, lost his struggle with mental health and addiction on January 20th, 2019. Ryan was a beautiful soul with a family who loved and adored him, and we tried everything in our power to save his precious soul from the grips of mental health and addiction. Ryan was 21 years young and so full of life, laughter, and a beautiful compassion for so many others. Although we could not save our son, we hope to keep his name alive with his scholarship at the Youth Challenge of Hampton Roads to provide help to others who, otherwise might not be able to afford it.
This fund in his honor began in October of 2019, and we want to continue to raise money and awareness. This is no longer about Ryan but about so many others who need care and help. Ryan had a love for his family, his friends, music, and sports. Ryan loved golf and spent weekends with his Uncle playing in a desperate attempt to someday beat him at the game. He also played for his High School. It will be a day of celebration and remembrance of a precious life but also a way to help others. Please consider coming out to support our efforts to provide financial assistance to others fighting the same fight.

Gifts can be made by check payable to the “Faith Recovery” (formerly known as Youth Challenge) and sent to Faith Recovery, 332 34th St, Newport News, VA 23607. Donations can also be made in kind - e.g., a restaurant gift card or an auto service gift card.
All sponsor contributions are tax-deductible as charitable donations (less golf round). Tax- exempt certificates are available.
