Pack Your Bags and Gear Up for the 3rd Annual Run The Runway 5K at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport!
This one-of-a-kind race is unlike any other! You will have the ability to go where few have gone before and run on active runways at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport. This race is being hosted by the Southern Timing Foundation, Inc.
Proceeds from this race will go towards STEM education outreach events in our community and beyond.
✈️ RACE DETAILS ✈️
The 3rd Annual Run The Runway 5K will take place on Saturday May 25th, 2024 at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport! This one-of-a-kind race will grant you rare access to walk or run on actual airport runways.
You will also have opportunities to meet pilots, tour display aircraft, and even pilot a real airplane with local flight schools!
There is a 25% discount for participants 17 & Under, this discount is automatically applied during registration.
✈️ MEDALS, SHIRTS, & MORE ✈️
All participants will receive a commemorative "Remove Before Flight" finisher medal, performance race shirt, and a drawstring bag filled with supplies from our sponsors!
✈️ AWARDS & TIMING ✈️
This race will be Chip Timed by Southern Timing, LLC. Southern Timing will also be providing individual results pages with finisher certificates and a 20-second-long video of each participant crossing the start and finish line!
Awards will be given out to the following categories:
-Top 3 Male & Female Overall Winners
-Top 3 Male & Female Masters
-Top 3 in Each Age Group:
-10 & Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
