About this Event

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Center for IBD and Celiac Disease Research Symposium

This symposium will focus on the translational research and clinical discussions at the forefront of pediatric IBD and celiac disease. Faculty, trainees, postdocs, students, and staff are invited to learn more about the latest developments, innovations, and advancements in the diagnosis, management, and therapy for both pediatric IBD and celiac disease.


Join us at this in-person event on October 29 from 9:00am-3:00pm PST!

This year’s symposium will also feature abstracts and a poster hall from our Intramural Seed Grant and Postdoc/Early Career Support awardees who are making an impact in pediatric IBD and celiac disease.


This event is free and open to all.


Hear from leading experts over the course of three sessions:

· Michael Rosen, MD, MSCI, Stanford University Endowed Professor for Pediatric IBD and Celiac Disease

· Daria Mochly-Rosen, PhD, George D. Smith Professor of Translational Medicine

· Aleixo Muise, MD, PhD, FRCPC, Professor of Paediatrics and Biochemistry and the Institute of Medical Sciences

· Calvin Kuo, MD, PhD, Maureen Lyles D’Ambrogio Professor of Medicine

Call for Abstracts: Due Oct 4th, 11:59PM PST

Please join us at the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Center for IBD and Celiac Disease 3rd Annual Research Symposium by not only attending and learning from leading experts in the field but also presenting your research and connecting with the Stanford scientific community.


We welcome abstracts in all areas relevant to children and young adults with intestinal inflammation, including but not limited to:

  • Microbiome
  • Epithelial Biology
  • Immunology
  • Genetics
  • Clinical and Outcomes Research
  • Data Science
  • Epidemiology
  • Community-Based Research
