Relax N Unwind Community Mental Wellness Picnic

Homicide and suicide are two very immediate and aggressive ways to loose a loved one. It takes a unique toll on the mind and emotions when the essence of our loved one is still here, but their physical presence is gone. It is the kind of reality that can not be expressed with words...the experience is the reality and it goes with you where ever you are. Too many of Jacksonville's residents have experienced this confusing and harsh reality in silent isolation. Often feeling that there is nowhere to go to escape the pain and/or no one who would even understand. Sometimes it is possible to make it through the day without an incident, and other days those surviving the loss are totally taken out by the weight of the emotions and memories.

Surviving community, take a deep breath...and another...relax...and permit yourself to unwind. You Are Not Alone. There is a LARGE COMMUNITY of people that are here with you and for you. Come unite with those that can relate for a day of family fun in the great outdoors. Meet people from our community that understand. Hopefully, you will meet someone that increases the value of your support system. There will be people present that have information, resources and strategies to support you on your journey toward healthy coping and healing. Come ready to Relax N Unwind as answers and healing, nature and community surround you.

The Relax N Unwind Community Mental Wellness Picnic is an in-person event being held at A Philip Randolph Park, 1096 A Philip Randolp Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, USA.

At the Relax N Unwind Community Mental Wellness Picnic, you'll have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, share experiences, and learn valuable tips and techniques to improve your mental well-being and discover communal support available to assist with coping with the loss of a loved one.

Throughout the day, there will be various activities available for participation that promote healthy coping skills, physical activity, clean fun and intentional self-care. From a game of spades with new friends to yoga classes designed to connect you to your InnerG, you'll have plenty of opportunities to Relax N Unwind. Don't forget to bring your picnic blanket and sunscreen to enjoy a beautiful day at A Philip Randolph Park, 1096 A Philip Randolph Blvd.
