Power of the Purse is Black River United Way’s Signature Women’s Luncheon Fundraiser supporting Youth Opportunity in Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties. Featuring Special Keynote Speaker Dr. Katrina Hutchins, a Silent Purse Auction, and a Women in Business Panel, Power of the Purse is a day for women changemakers to unite and show what can be accomplished when we work together.Funds raised will support Black River United Way’s Waccamaw Region For Childhood Success Initiative, advancing youth opportunity through kindergarten readiness (Mission: Ready) and third-grade reading success (Mission: Read).
