🌎 Please Join Us for the third annual Mountwest Earth Day Cleanup! 🌿Students in the Mountwest MK130 Marketing class are once again organizing an Earth Day Clean Up! Please join us on April 19th from 9am to Noon at the Mountwest Culinary Center at 1632 8th Ave, Huntington, WV 25703. We will be sweeping along 8th Avenue, from 16th St to 28th St (or as far as we can that direction). We will have litter grabbers and bags in front of the Culinary Center, and from there we'll provide guidance on the best areas to focus our cleanup efforts.
In the past two years, we have removed over 3,000 pounds of trash from just this single stretch of road! But it’s a never-ending job and it’s piling up again. Please take a couple hours out of your day to help us. It’s rain or shine!
Students on WV Invests Scholarship can use this to satisfy their 2 hours of community service for the Spring semester!
If you can’t make it to our cleanup, that’s okay! There are other cleanups happening all around the city:
