Come learn the basics of fishing at Cedar Hill State Park!Youth and adults are welcome to learn the basics of fishing through fun, hands-on activities provided by fishing experts here at Cedar Hill State Park! Try your luck at fishing for rainbow trout stocked by our inland fisheries division – and you can even take your catch home!
No fishing license is necessary and this event is come-and-go as you please. Bait and a limited supply of loaner equipment will be available, or you can bring your own. Adults must accompany children during this event.
When: Saturday, February 8th, 2025 from 10am-2pm
Where: Perch Pond
Bring: Water, a snack if you need one, and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
