This special event is more than just an open mat — it's a chance to honor the life and legacy of our sweet Hayes, a selfless, loving 9-year-old boy who absolutely loved Jiu-Jitsu and the community that came with it.
Through the Live Like Hayes Foundation, all proceeds from this open mat go toward:
Hero Hayes Scholarships, helping kids afford the opportunity to compete in BJJ tournaments
Live Like Hayes Bears, gifted to donor families as a keepsake with their loved one's final heartbeat
Mission work, providing help and hope to those in need
Hayes’ heart was huge. He cared deeply, loved fiercely, and lived generously — and we believe he'd be so proud to see the Jiu-Jitsu community uniting to carry on that same spirit.
