About this Event
Join Pierra D. Brown, registered Art Therapist, as she facilitates a relaxing outdoor art experience where you will be given the opportunity to create, socialize, and enjoy being surrounded by nature.
If you are unfamiliar with what art therapy is, it is a form of therapy that incorporates the art making process as a creative means of self-expression, communication, and to overall improve mental health. For the purpose of the picnic, there is no specific art prompt just free art making.
For those who plan on attending:
- Bring your picnic blanket
- Art materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own
- What's a picnic without snacks! There will be some provided, but there's always room for more
*All artistic levels of experience are welcome*
If inclement weather occurs the event will be moved indoors or to the following weekend
