Calling all tinkerers, builders, and creative problem-solvers! This hands-on class challenges students to construct unique sculptures using a mix of traditional and unexpected art materials. Each session explores different themes and mediums, giving students the opportunity to complete one or two large projects while experimenting with form, texture, and design. Along the way, they’ll develop drawing and painting skills to sketch out ideas, add color, and apply finishes that bring their creations to life.
This upcoming session will be 3D cardboard reliefs! Dive into the world of 3D art in this fun, hands-on cardboard relief workshop made just for teens and tweens! Using layered cardboard, students will design and build a dimensional piece that pops right off the canvas.
We’ll learn how to cut, stack, bend, and shape cardboard to create depth and texture, turning simple materials into art. Students can choose their own theme—characters, nature, abstract shapes, anything they imagine—and bring it to life in 3D form!
Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, students will learn how to think outside the box, discovering innovative ways to use each material to meet creative challenges.
For mature ages 10 and up. Projects may involve the use of hot glue guns and various cutting tools.
This class is instructed by Abby.
All materials and an apron will be provided by the Art Factory, but please dress for mess!
