We're excited to announce that the 3D crew is returning for a one night only special reunion event at Inflation Nightclub on Friday, November 28th! It's been 13 years since 3D closed its doors, (Oct 5th, 2012) and we think it's high time we all got back together to relive the memories and party like it's 2009!
This won't be "just another party." There was always something special about 3D, so, we're bringing it back; the smiles, the loud color, the tacky décor (ha!), but most of all, the killer tunes!
We're spreading the shenanigans across all three levels of Inflation, with 3D Classics & Anthems in the basement, Hardstyle on the ground floor and Psy Trance on 1st floor.
This will be a night that won't be forgotten anytime soon, so put on your fat pants, your beeds, your nike's and Tees and Glo sticks cause we are taking you for a trip down memory lane.
**Promotions – We Need You!**
We need you to help us create that special vibe and have a proper "Reunion party", and you can help us by getting involved and sharing the FB event page with all your friends to make sure everyone who used to come to 3D finds out about it. Another way is to personaly invite those on your FB firends list so that all our friends are there to acieve that 3D vibe!
This is not a comeback; this is a special one-off event and your only chance to relive the fabulous memories, so help spread the word in any other way you can.
**About 3D **
The brand itself says it all. 3D -" where three worlds collide" -started off at CBD Nightclub on McKillop Street soon after Bass Station moved over to ZoZ Nightclub. From the opening night, 3D captured the new generation of ravers who made it their home for years to come. Musically it was at the forefront of what was happening in the scene. With three floors of underground music, 3D played all the styles that were in vogue overseas while nurturing new local talent and featuring the best local, national, and international DJs. Many Melbourne DJs cut their chops at 3D. It became an institution in the Melbourne rave scene. For the punters, it was like family, a community championing the mantra of P.L.U.R.
As soon as you entered the front door and walked up those stairs into the first floor, you were hit in the face by this enormous, happy, and friendly energy smiley yellow cutout faces hanging from the ceiling, lots of UVs, loud colors, lasers, smoke, talcom powder and shuffling to the latest Trance tracks played on vinyl. Lots of international DJs graced the 3D DJ decks over the years and smashed it. More than just a weekly club night, 3D was made up of many who contributed to its success over a twelve year period. There were many times it got out of control, right? But we made it through and treasure those memories. We feel the time is right for all of us to relive those memories once again. We would like to invite you to the 3D reunion this November 28th at Inflation Nightclub. We hope you can join us along with some of Melbourne's finest DJs of that era for a night to remember.
