Join the San Lorenzo Valley Museum's 2025 artist-in-residence, Ulises Peralta, for a free 3D Printmaking Workshop at the Grace Episcopal Gallery in Boulder Creek. Drop in anytime between 1-4pm on Thursday, September 25, to meet the artist, learn about his printmaking process and create a custom print of your own. PALIMPSEST—by definition, a manuscript that has been scraped and written over, yet still bears traces of its original
text and history.
Peralta's new print collection for the San Lorenzo Museum draws from this idea, reimagining layered histories and
suppressed narratives through multi-layered screen prints. By reproducing historic photographs with a 3D anaglyph
process, he honors archives that resist cultural erasure while giving new depth to their subjects. These works also
confront the culture that made such resistance necessary, inviting dialogue on what we can learn from the past to
move forward.
The Artist-in-Residence program at the San Lorenzo Valley Museum is generously funded in part by Arts Council Santa Cruz County.
Free admission, donations warmly appreciated.
