Parent–Child 3D Printing Workshop (Ages 12+)
Discover the exciting world of 3D printing together. This hands-on Parent–Child workshop introduces families to the fundamentals of 3D printing in a fun, collaborative environment. No prior experience is required - just curiosity and creativity.
Over two sessions, participants will learn how ideas become physical objects, explore how 3D printers work, and create a custom design to print and take home.

- Parents/guardians and children ages 12+
- Families interested in STEM and creative technology
- Beginners with no prior 3D printing experience
What You’ll Learn
- What 3D printing is and how it’s used
- Anatomy of an FDM 3D printer & common materials
- From idea to print: the full 3D printing process
- Finding and creating 3D models
- Slicing and software basics
- Printer setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Print a 3D design to take home
Format
- 6 hours total, split into two sessions
- Hands-on, guided instruction
- All materials included
