3D Printing - Grades 5, 6, and 7

It’s time to sign up for IHMC's October Science Saturday. This free, hands-on science experience takes place at 40 S. Alcaniz St. in Pensacola. Students in grades 5, 6, and 7 who were at least 10 years old at the start of this school year may join us. We will have hands-on fun building simple robot hands and learning how they work.

This event will be led by Nicole Esposito, a mechanical engineer and research associate in IHMC's robotics lab. Nicole uses 3D printing regularly in her work. We hope you’ll be able to participate - we promise lots of fun as we learn to use CAD software to design an object for 3D printing. Register now! Tickets are free, but space is limited. (Students' printed objects will be available for pickup at IHMC starting two weeks after this event.)

The season sponsors, Florida Power and Light, the Florida Blue Foundation, Cox, the Altera Group, and the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, make it possible for students to enjoy science and STEM for free at IHMC.

Attendance at each session is limited to registered ticket holders. If there are no tickets left, please click JOIN WAITLIST. It’s definitely worthwhile to join the list, as we usually get cancellations before each Science Saturday. Science is super fun! We hope your 5th, 6th and 7th grade students will join us at 11am. (Please register students in grades grades 3 and 4 for 9 am. Both sessions will be age appropriate, so it's important to register for the correct time.)
