3D in Motion: Model, Animate, Create

This workshop explores how you can bring your imagination to life in 3D. Learn how to scan models and animate them: whether it’s a character, a scene, or a funky object. Perfect for anyone curious about digital art, animation or game design.

Each session is 2 hours long. Sign up for one of two sessions on Sunday 22nd February:

11am - 1pm

1:30pm - 3:30pm

What you’ll do

You will:

• Model objects using beginner-friendly 3D tools
• Export your design ready for animation
• Bring your model to life on-screen

Who’s this for?

This is a workshop for children aged 7-12.

What you need to bring

All workshop equipment is provided.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Every booking automatically grants entry to an accompanying adult. Due to venue size, we ask that you don't bring more grown-ups so that everyone has plenty of room to create!

Cost

This event is free to attend. We charge a £3 booking fee, which is refunded after you attend the event. If you prefer, you can also leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds are processed within seven working days via our booking platform, Eventbrite.

This workshop uses Tinkercad and Mixamo, free browser-based applications which you can download and use at home.

About the workshop lead

This workshop is led by Lee Power. Lee is an experienced teacher who specialises in design and loves tinkering with new technology.
