Most of us were taught that Judaism and Christianity are connected, but not how, or why that connection still shapes the language, assumptions, and beliefs many of us carry without realizing it.For many people, those gaps linger quietly. You inherit ideas and frameworks, repeat certain phrases, absorb meaning, and only later sense that important context was never fully explained, even if you grew up religious.
This lecture pulls back the curtain on the shared roots, real disagreements, and long-standing misunderstandings between Judaism and Christianity. Not to debate, but to offer clarity where confusion often lives.
The evening will be led by Rabbi Michael Lotker, a longtime leader in Jewish–Christian dialogue and the author of A Christian’s Guide to Judaism. His work has become a foundational resource in interfaith learning and conversation.
This program is part of the 39th Annual Rabbi Norman F. Feldheym Memorial Lecture, a tradition established in 1985 to honor Rabbi Feldheym’s legacy of thoughtful teaching, intellectual curiosity, and engagement with the wider community.
The lecture is designed for people who enjoy learning that deepens perspective and continues to resonate long after the evening ends.
This event is free and open to the public. Thanks to dedicated funding, the lecture is offered at no cost to ensure broad community access.
