What does it take to bring a writing project to life? The 2025 Literary Conference, themed Passion and Persistence, explores the determination and hard work behind successful writing—from first spark to publication. Featured authors will share their long-term creative journeys, including David Wright Faladé’s 17-year process for completing The New Internationals, and Kai Carlson‑Wee’s persistence in pursuing poetry while riding the railroads. 6:00–7:00 PM – Book club meeting at Scarlow’s with Kai Carlson‑Wee, student‑moderated by Tiana Stover; free copies of RAIL are available (sign-up required)
