About this Event
The URI Schmidt Center for Labor Relations and Human Resources (SLRC) welcomes you to register for our 37th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference hosted by the Rogers Williams University School of Law.
The conference brings together labor and employment lawyers, scholars, and representatives from federal and state agencies. Discussions will cover key legal updates from state and federal courts, recent developments from the NLRB and DOL, a significant Supreme Court case, as well as AI standards and ethical responsibilities. A highlight of the event will be a fireside chat with George Nee, former president of the Rhode Island AFL-CIO. !
Space is limited to 190 attendees. Early-bird tickets, at $175 per person, will be available until March 7th. After that date, the ticket fee will increase to $250 per person. A student rate of $60 is available to graduate and law students, to gain an access code contact Jill at [email protected].
Certification Credits:
The conference is open to the public and will benefit anyone working in the labor and employment fields.
This program is approved for 6 MCLE credits with 1.5 ethics credits. Attorneys seeking MCLE credits should include their bar registration number on their online registration form.
This program is approved for 6 PDC credits for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
A Certificate of Completion will be given at the conference and emailed to those who request one after the conference.
Hotel Accommodations:
A discounted room rate has been reserved at Bristol Harbor Inn for conference attendees visiting from out of town. Bristol Harbor Inn is located at 259 Thames Street, Bristol, RI 02809. The discounted rates are as follows:
- Thursday, April 3rd: $109
- Friday, April 4th: $159
The above suite/room rates are per night and do not include a 13% tax. Rooms are also subject to an amenity fee of $22.00 per night, per room, plus tax.
