Hey y’all! Throw on your cowboy hat, boots, and buckles, and giddy up to the 35th Texas Black Invitational Rodeo on Saturday, July 27, at 7 p.m. at the Fair Park Coliseum.Presented by the African American Museum, Dallas, the family-fun rodeo features African American cowboys and cowgirls as they compete for cash prizes in bronc and bull riding, calf and steer roping, barrel racing, and a Pony Express relay race.
Kicking off with the Grand Entry Parade at 6:30 p.m., the fast-paced evening of thrills provides guests with a glimpse of the historical contributions that African Americans made in the settling of the western United States.
Other highlights include trick lasso performances, music, and more. Concessions will be available inside the Coliseum.
Proceeds from the annual Black Rodeo go to supporting the mission of the African American Museum of Dallas, a non-profit 5013c. For more information, go to aamdallas.org.
