About this Event

The 35th Annual River To Sea Bike Ride will take place Saturday, May 3, 2025. This event is a 20-mile bike ride along the historic route of the Wilmington Beach Car Line. There is no cost to participate. Each participant must register individually.

All age groups and experience levels of cyclists participate in this ride but must be able to ride 20 miles at a casual pace. Helmets are required and cyclists should give their bicycles a thorough safety inspection prior to the event. Those who do not bring a helmet will not be permitted to ride.

Check-in is from 6:15 am to 6:50 am at the intersection of Princess Street and Second Street in downtown Wilmington. Cyclists will depart at 7:00 am sharp from downtown and arrive at Wrightsville Beach Park close to 8:15 am. There is a 15-20 minute break at Wrightsville Beach Park before beginning the second half of the ride back downtown.

If desired, t-shirts, water bottles, and stickers are available for preorder until Friday, March 28, 2025 at noon. A limited number of t-shirts, water bottles, and stickers will be available for sale on the day of the ride (exact change, cash only): $30 per t-shirt, $10 per water bottle, and $5 per sticker.
