The Alabama Coastal Cleanup is a statewide volunteer program that sponsors an annual day pf removing trash from the coastlines and rivers. Participants pick up liter and debris throughout Dog River watershed. Check in at Dog River Park at 8:00 AM, 2459 Dog River Drive. Grab your gear and get to work removing trash from the Dog River watershed! Tackle a land based site, or do your own shoreline cleanup by boat, kayak, or SUP.
Download the CLEAN SWELL app for tracking your collection totals. Trash bags, grabbers, and gloves provided. Wear sunscreen, hat, closed toe shoes, long pants, and bug spray. Then around 11:30 AM, drop off your collection haul at Dog River Park and you'll receive a t-shirt, water, and lunch for your efforts.
Can't make it on Saturday? No worries - simply preregister by visiting our eventbrite page https://www.eventbrite.com/e/35th-annual-al-coastal-cleanup-dog-river-park-zone-tickets-414223281987 and clean up on your own time at a site of your choosing. You may still use Dog River Park as your drop off location.
