Panel # 2: Filmmaking as Revolution
Stepanie Gardner leads a diverse panel to discuss the various ways filmmaking is used around the world, past and present. In addition as pure entertainment, it has been used to create a voice for the voiceless, to battle repression, to spark new ideas, to attempt to change the status quo, etc. Our filmmakers from countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Romania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Uganda and Colombia will be a part of the discussion and will talk about their experiences plus the history of cinema in their countries.
Panelists: Atzin Ortiz González (Mexico), Ana Jakimska (North Macedonia), Patience Nitumwesiga (Uganda), Stacy Ann Sutherland (Jamaica), Rae Wiltshire (Guyana)
