Een blues-gevoel toevoegen aan je NeoTango met Isabelle & Thierry (FRA).
Isabelle en Thierry nodigen je uit om te ontdekken hoe je een bluesgevoel en -connectie in je tango kunt brengen. Deze workshop biedt een frisse manier om je dans te verrijken door de expressieve kwaliteiten van blues te combineren met de elegantie en precisie van tango. Veel nummers die op NeoTango evenementen worden gespeeld, hebben een uitgesproken bluesy sfeer. Deze stukken kunnen worden gedanst op een tango- of bluesstijl. De keuze tussen de twee hangt af van je muzikale gevoeligheid, improvisatie en technisch inzicht.
Hun aanpak legt de nadruk op een zuivere techniek, ongeacht het gebruikte muziekgenre. Of we nu dansen in een tango- of bluesframe, we streven naar helderheid, balans en authentieke expressie. Deze vrijheid stelt ons in staat de muziek te interpreteren zoals we die werkelijk voelen: soms via tango, soms via blues.
Inhoud van de workshop:
• Kernelementen van de bluesdans: lichaamsbeweging, geaard ritme en veerkracht
• Inzicht in de bluesconnectie: spanning en compressie
• Spelen met ritme en muzikale interactie
• Lopen met de bluestechniek
• Soepel en zuiver blues- en tangoverbindingen combineren.

DJ Thierry (FRA) - Thierry is bovenal een creatieve danser die de muziek 'beleeft'. Hij beoefende vele sociale dansen (swing, blues, salsa, tango...) voordat hij actief werd als dj NeoTango. Natuurlijk houdt hij ook van de tangomuziek uit de gouden eeuw, maar waar hij echt enthousiast van wordt is het openen, verrijken en mixen van verschillende stijlen naar nieuwe muzikale en stoffelijke horizonten, waardoor hij speciaal door NeoTango wordt aangetrokken. Mooie melodieën, emoties en veranderingen in ritme en intensiteit zijn Thierry's muzikale kenmerken. Bij Thierry kun je een muzikale reis verwachten. Thierry heeft op zoveel evenementen door heel Europa gedraaid dat hij de tel kwijt is. Thierry is organisator van verschillende NeoTango evenementen, zoals de NeoTango in Toulouse, in Brugge, in Meissen tot aan het NeoNero Tango Summer Camp bij Dresden.
De bluesband Ramblin’ Dog speelt 2 setjes van 25 minuten (21:30 en 23:30)
Het spelen van akoestische blues met passie en plezier is de drijfveer van de vier illustere heren van Ramblin’ Dog. Het repertoire bestaat uit zowel eigen composities als zelf gearrangeerde nummers van grote Blues artiesten in verschillende stijlen en is dus lekker gevarieerd. Ook het instrumentarium bestaande uit, gitaren, bluesharp, bas en percussie en fantastische vocalen, draagt hieraan bij.
De vier muzikanten hebben een uitgebreide muzikale ervaring, die je terug hoort in hun mix van gevoelige, swingende, maar bovenal gepassioneerd gespeelde bluesliedjes.
Ramblin’ Dog zorgt voor kippenvel en de drang om te dansen.

Frank Reemers – zang en gitaar (lead)
Markus Trum – bas
Maurice Meesters – cajon (handtrommel) en percussie

Isabelle and Thierry (FRA) invite you to explore how to bring a Blues feeling and connection into your NeoTango. This workshop offers a fresh way to enrich your dance, combining the expressive qualities of Blues with the elegance and precision of Tango.
Many tracks played at NeoTango events carry a distinct bluesy vibe. These pieces can be danced using either a Tango or a Blues style. Choosing between the two depends on your musical sensitivity, improvisation, and technical awareness.
Their approach emphasizes pure technique, regardless of the music genre used. Whether we dance in a Tango or Blues frame, we aim for clarity, balance, and authentic expression. This freedom allows us to interpret the music in the way we truly feel it: sometimes through Tango, sometimes through Blues.
Workshop Content:
* Key elements of Blues dance: body movement, grounded rhythm, and resiliency
* Understanding of the Blues connection: tension and compression
* Playing with rhythm and musical interaction
* Walking with Blues technique
* Combining Blues and Tango connections smoothly and cleanly.

DJ Thierry (FRA) - Thierry is above all a creative dancer who “lives” the music. He practiced many social dances (swing, blues, salsa, tango...) before starting to DJ NeoTango. Of course, he loves tango from the golden age, but what makes him vibrate is to open, enrich, and mix practices toward new musical and corporeal horizons which brings him to NeoTango. Nice melodies, emotion, and changes in rythms and intensity are Thierry's music markers. With Thierry you can expect a musical journey. Thierry deejayed all over Europe in so many events that he lost the count of it. Thierry is organizer of several NeoTango events : the Toulouse NeoTango , the NeoTango Bruges, the NeoTango Meissen and the NeoTango Summer Camp near Dresden.
The blues band Ramblin' Dog will play two 25-minute sets (21:30 and 23:30)
Playing acoustic blues with passion and enjoyment is the driving force behind the four illustrious gentlemen of Ramblin' Dog. Their repertoire consists of both original compositions and self-arranged songs by major blues artists in various styles, making them delightfully varied. The instrumentation, consisting of guitars, blues harp, bass, percussion, and fantastic vocals, also contributes to this.
The four musicians have extensive musical experience, which is evident in their mix of sensitive, swinging, and above all, passionately played blues songs. Ramblin' Dog gives you goosebumps and the urge to dance.
