About this Event
Cambridge Carnival is thrilled to celebrate its 29th year of fun and diversity!
The annual event will be held on September 10, 2023 from 11:00 PM to 5:00 PM at University Park Commons in Cambridge. We hope you join us for an afternoon of celebrating the African and Caribbean diaspora with food, music, costumes, festivities, and more!
The Cambridge Carnival is a unique event and ranked the largest festival in Cambridge. The festival's highlight is rich rhythmic musicality promoting all types of cultures that can be seen as a wide array of artists and vendors, dazzling handmade costumes, and people dancing to the beat of Carnival. The festival is a vehicle to bring Cambridge’s diverse community together for a spectacular annual costume parade and celebration.
The parade route this year will be 1 mile, beginning near the Charles River, at Street River and Blackstone Street, then through Central Square along Massachusetts Avenue, continuing right onto Sidney Street and ending in University Park Commons, Cambridge. This year"s festival at University park commons features music and performances at the stage located on Sidney Street, as well as a variety of food and arts and craft vendors, the KidsFest, and more!
