The Thomasville History Center’s election night tradition began in 1993 and 30 years later, we’re still cooking!
For those new to pilau, we pronounce it as “per-loo.” However you pronounce it, it is a savory chicken and rice dish spiced with black pepper and served with crackers, sweet pickles, coleslaw, and dessert.
TAKE-OUT: 4PM-6:30PM
EAT-IN & MUSIC: 5:30PM-7:30PM
Meals: $12 each
Let’s Party!
Enjoy live music from the Smith Homestead porch featuring the acoustic bluegrass sounds of the Kenny Hill Band from the Big Bend of Florida.
B.Y.O. chairs or picnic blankets & beverages. Limited table seating will be available. You can also enjoy the lounge area provided by our friends at Airstreaming Sounds of the South, a mobile music discovery airstream and recording studio!
Reserve our “Parlez-vous Pilau” merchandise! We’re offering a canvas tote bag- perfect for packing your picnic supplies- as well as t-shirts from the popular Comfort Colors brand. Your order will be available for pick-up at Pilau and after.
