The route starts on the island of Gasay (Island #1) in Lochboisdale, now connected to South Uist as part of the Lochboisdale Marina develpoment (completed in 2014), the route follows the main spinal road through South Uist (Island #2). On reaching Benbecula (Island #3), the route turns to the right taking you through the townships of Hacklet & Torlum before finishing at the Dark Island Hotel. The race can be run as a Solo Full Marathon runner, part of a pair or as part of a team you create (Created Team), or have your name entered into the Community team draw (Community Team).
