Are you longing for spaciousness and to spend time in wild nature?Would you like to drop into flow state and allow your nervous system to re-calibrate at the pace of nature?
Could you benefit from a hike in the trees and coastal prairie meadows?
Would you be renewed by practicing qigong, in nature, in community?
Join Beth Freewomon and The Open Hearth for this unique experience—the first of many to come. This kick-off event synchronizes with Day of the Dead and at a time when the veil between the worlds thin. We will make space to honor our beloved dead.
When: Saturday, November 1st, 2:00-5:00 pm
Where: Moore Creek Preserve (meet at University Terrace Park)
What: We will park and gather at University Terrace Park, and then walk and socialize together to the Meder St. entrance of Moore Creek Preserve. When we enter the preserve, we will hike in relative silence, together through the forest and meadows, communing with our wild nature friends (trees, birds, mycelium, etc). We will set up "camp" in a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean, where we will create an altar, practice qigong and break bread (so to speak). Then we will hike out together, connected, conversing (if you so choose) and renewed.
What to Bring: Your able body (all experience levels welcome), a ground cloth, snacks, water, clothing for shade and warmth, altar items (pics of your loved ones who've crossed over).
Currency: Sliding scale $25-60 (Payable by Cash, Venmo, PayPal). $5 off if you prepay by Friday Oct. 31st. RSVPs encouraged.
