Codependence is often defined as investing and focusing one’s time and energy into everything and everyone else. However, simply defined, codependence is a lack of a relationship with oneself. Important topics of focus during this workshop include education on the family system, defense mechanisms, shame, the drama triangle, boundaries, power and powerlessness, connection, breaking free from the drama triangle, self-care and learning how to work with clients to free themselves from codependent behavior and dysfunctional relationship patterns.Objectives Include:
-Overview of Codependency and how it develops from specific family systems.
-Explore the post-impact that Codependency has on self-identity.
-Learn about the connections between Codependency thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
-Learn about the core themes that are associated with Codependency.
-Learn specific therapeutic approaches to working through Codependency when working with clients.
