Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Your safari adventure begins with a morning departure from Nairobi at around 7:00 AM. The drive to Amboseli National Park takes approximately four hours taking you through scenic Maasai towns and open plains. Along the way youâll catch your first glimpses of the diverse landscapes that Kenya is famous for. Youâll arrive at Amboseli at around 11:00 AM where you will check into your chosen accommodation such as the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge Ol Tukai Lodge or Kibo Safari Camp.
After settling in a leisurely lunch will be served at your lodge often with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Following some relaxation youâll head out for your first afternoon game drive at 3:00 PM. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants which roam freely across the savannah often with Kilimanjaroâs snow-capped peak towering in the background. Youâll also encounter a variety of wildlife including zebras giraffes buffaloes and possibly lions or cheetahs. By 5:30 PM youâll return to your lodge where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the sun setting over the plains.
Dinner will be served at 7:30 PM and the evening is yours to spend as you please. Day 3: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
Your final day in Amboseli begins with another early morning game drive at 6:30 AM giving you one last chance to see any animals you might have missed. After the drive youâll return to your lodge for breakfast at 9:00 AM where you can enjoy a leisurely meal before packing up and checking out.
