Shiva is the Ultimate Brahman. He who is Nirguna-niraakara (formless) but, ofcourse for the mortals, perceived as saguna- saakaar (one with a form)........
In Hinduism, this divine personality of godhead has two halves- the material and the spiritual; the female energy and the male principle; Prakruti and Purusha, Shiva-shakti seen as in Ardhanari-nateshwar..........
His consort is the supreme untameable, universal energy- Shakti. Durga- the one who is the most splendid manifestation of Devi contains within her the power of all gods...........
Nataraj- the cosmic dancer- represents the constant bio-dance of life-creation, sustenance and dissolution. He who cannot be seen but can be realized through the manifestation of five elements- who maintain a balance within the universe by complementing each other to form a part of the Whole.
