About this Event
Join us on August 14th or September 11th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. as we prepare Freedom Meadow for Frisco's 9/11 Remembrance Service. Volunteers will assist with weeding flower beds, litter pick-up, and invasive species removal.
Close-toed shoes and long pants are highly recommended. Please bring water, insect repellent, and sunscreen. Gardening tools will be provided.
Dedicated in 2002, Freedom Meadow is a memorial to those who lost their lives as a result of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The memorial is located at the northeast corner of Warren Sports Complex, 7599 Eldorado Parkway. In 2017, this area was expanded from 1.25 to 5 acres and seeded with native wildflowers with the help of the Frisco Garden Club. The native wildflowers are not only beautiful, but serve as pollinator habitat.
