Registration is now open for ESC's 2nd Paper Airplane Competition! Saturday July 9th @ 1pm, Buckley Park, Langley City
Open to families with children aged 3+
ESC will send you instructions on how to build a few paper airplane examples for different abilities.
Airplanes can be any design but need to be made of one piece of paper.
All children entrants will receive a participation prize.
The competition will take place between 1-3pm with winners announced between 3:00-3:30pm.
This is an outdoor event
Buckley park is attached to Hi-Knoll Park, which is a great forest park, and also walking distance to Penzer Park, the largest parkour park in Canada, so there is a lot to explore once your child has competed and you are waiting for the results.
ESC will offer prizes for the best 3 designs.

Explore Science Club offers outdoor and indoor science programs for children aged 3-12. We offer camps in Spring and Summer too. Pre-Covid we were operating as an independent contractor for Township of Langley Recreation. With their closures, ESC is now operating as a licensed family daycare located in Eagle Heights, Langley City.
Learning through play is a major theme in all our programs. Guided learning is combined with self exploration to offer a unique hands on STEAM curriculum.
Crafts, music and other creative arts are core to our teaching philosophy. We help children discover their interests. Preparing and supporting them on their learning journey.
Our preschool programs help children discover, explore and wonder about the world around them.
Children's programs feature curriculum relevant material combined with hands on discovery that nurtures individual interests.
ESC was founded by Nehal Saleh, a mother of 2 young children as well as a scientist with a PhD in behavioural ecology. Nehal published 4 out of 5 thesis chapters in peer reviewed journals. Her work was a combination of biological assays, chemical identification and software programming. Nehal has also worked as Business Development Manager in a publicly listed antibody company. She has a modern multidisciplinary approach to science education.
