Yin and Yang are a symbol that dates back to the Chinese Tao which states that the universe consists of two forces that are opposing but complementary. It's known as a circle divided into black and white sections by a reverse S-like shape.Yin energy is female, restive, intuitive, creative, moon, dark, downward movement, soft.
Yang energy is masculine, active, logical, sun, light, upward movement, strong, expanding.
These two forces are within ourselves and gradually change into the other. This is the cycle of all energy.
In our workshop we will put our intentions to let them work in unison and create a perfect balance and harmony within ourselves. Balance means never looking at things in black and white but always embracing and welcoming changes and flow. It's a middle way between head and heart in all our choices, always searching for the sunny side in the shady one.
If you are balanced within yourself, you can bring the right energy to your everyday life.
We begin by working with our movement as a means of expression. Any gesture can become an artistic work. We will play with the gestures that we know from everyday life and by using creative tasks we will transform them into our own artistic expression of our lights and shadows. Through movement, we awaken the yang energy and prepare ourselves to journey inward.
Through shamanic journey work, we will travel deep within to meet the parts of ourselves that live in shadow and those that shine in light. Using the rhythmic beat of the drum, you'll be guided into a meditative state where you can connect with your inner wisdom and receive messages about your personal balance. Here, the yin energy holds us as we receive.
Our journey comes to an end as you paint your shadows and lights onto canvas. Working with acrylics, you'll give form and color to what you've experienced and discovered. This isn't about creating perfect art - it's about letting your inner world speak through color, shape, and intuition. Your painting becomes a mirror of your journey and a reminder of your wholeness.
