December is our last month to be featuring the beautiful works of Laura Nelsen! Please make plans to stop by and see us during the 2nd Friday Art Walk. There will be snacks, drinks, and (of course) some terrific art!About the artist:
Laura Nelsen is a Norman-based artist who creates art in a variety of media. She graduated with a BFA from Metropolitan State University of Colorado with an emphasis in painting. While painting was her first passion, exploration of various materials and techniques to create multimedia pieces currently intrigues her most. Born in Oklahoma and raised in Colorado contributes to her unique perspective. Professionally, her work has ranged from public art projects, such as sidewalk murals for Norman’s “Artful Inlets”, to serving on a selection panel for a public art project with Norman Arts Council. Her deep love for her community is exemplified by her ability to encourage others to express, explore, and build relationships with themselves and others through artistic means.
