Sir Hugh Orde OBE, former PSNI Chief Constable will deliver the 2nd Annual Seamus Mallon Lecture.
This will be followed by a conversation with Denis Bradley, Vice Chair of NI Policing Board 2001-2006.
This annual lecture honours the late Seamus Mallon MP for Newry & Armagh from 1996-2006 and played a key role in the transformation of policing and justice.
The pinnacle of Seamus Mallon's political career was his rise to the role of Deputy First Minister in the Northern Ireland Assembly. He was recognised as one of the oldest hands in Irish politics, played a central role in the peace process and was a key architect of the Good Friday Agreement. In 2019 he published ‘A Shared Home Place’
