The Inaugural Cafecito Caliente Awards will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at The View which is part of Jackson Field home of the Lansing Lugnuts baseball team. The award ceremony is meant to honor, recognize, and promote the achievements and contributions of Hispanic/Latino individuals and/or organizations in the Mid-Michigan area. This will truly be a historic night. The Cafecito Caliente Awards are the Mid-Michigan's community awards celebrating the Hispanic Latino community. Dinner, entertainment, networking, and an open cash bar will be part of your evening at The View.
Awards will be given for the business community, education and health fields, military service, a community partner along with awards for Latina of the Year and a Rising Star award. Also, part of the proceeds will help fund scholarship awards to two Lansing School District students to be named in May 2023.
