This event celebrates the significant contributions and historical work of African Americans in our community. It will focus on the #OmahaBlackHistory book and offer several breakout sessions that will focus on 1. Why reading books and writing about historical racial topics are challenges to African Americans in Omaha. 2. The various Black Fraternities and Sororities chapters in Omaha will share their historical volunteer contributions to the community and families. 3. Elder and Youth Historical Intergenerational Conversations about Generation Divide.
