We’re lighting up the night AGAIN! The Atlanta Lantern Boat Festival is BACK for Year 2 and the Laotian American Society is excited to see you all there. LAS is hosting its second annual festival on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.Festival Mission
The festival enriches the multicultural fabric of Georgia by introducing a unique and vibrant cultural celebration and presence of Laotian Americans to a broader audience bringing together the community under a magical evening of entertainment, night market, lanterns, cultural showcases, dragon boats, and so much more.
Its themes of light and water symbolize renewal, hope, and the cleansing of negativity, offering participants a sense of optimism and community while fostering greater understanding and respect. The festival supports LAS operations and programs in education, youth development, cultural preservation, and policy advocacy.
About The Laotian American Society
The Laotian American Society (LAS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving the Georgia community. Bridging together the modern Laotian-American with the traditional generation of our community, to celebrate our culture and aid our community. Our mission is to promote cultural awareness and empower the Laotian-American community through culture, outreach, and education. LAS has been in existence since 2003, and has transcended from its humble grassroots beginnings, to one of the prominent voices within the Lao community and a member of the Atlanta Asian/Pacific Islander non-profit community that contributes effortlessly to the economy and tapestry of Georgia and America.
