About this Event
Instructor - Bleu Vermeer
Bleu Vermeer has been an avid needle felting instructor since 2011 and delights in the tactile nature of the craft. They love that in needle felting, no two creations are alike because, unlike a majority of fiber arts, there is no set pattern of steps that, if followed, produces a finished product. In their classes, they encourage students to hone their tactile senses and structural visualization skills while teaching the science of non-woven fibers. As a craftsperson, Bleu relishes giving their projects a soft and squishable feel. They especially enjoy making animals realistic or stylized, real or imagined.
Class DescriptionWhat is 2D needle-felting, you ask? Simple: 2D needle-felting is the process of stabbing colored wool fibers into a wool base with a specialized needle to create a soft, touchable picture. During this workshop, you will have access to over a hundred colors of wool and an experienced instructor to guide you through recreating an image of your choice.
Material FeeThe materials fee for this class is $8 for consumed materials and the use of tools during the workshop. If you would like to keep your tools after the workshop, there is an additional $10 restocking fee. This instructor prefers payments through Venmo, Paypal, and Cashapp; cash is accepted.
