OVERVIEW
The Southwest Prostate Cancer Symposium (SPCS 2025) is intended for urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of prostate cancer. It will educate the attendees about advances in the management of localized and advanced prostate cancer, with a focus on imaging, technology, and training in the related devices.
The goal of this educational program is to equip urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in prostate cancer care with the up-to-date clinical knowledge and tools they need to best treat their patients. The program aims to provide a technical update on all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of localized and advanced disease.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Appraise the methods for screening, biopsy, and risk stratification in prostate cancer.
2. Discuss the impact of testosterone on men’s health and in urologic disorders.
3. Identify treatments for localized disease from surgical approaches, brachytherapy, cryotherapy, hormone therapy, etc.
4. Evaluate the management of advanced prostate cancer including M0 prostate cancer, metastatic disease, and mCRPC.

This course is intended for urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals. It will educate the attendees about advances in management of localized and advanced prostate cancer.
