Throughout the pandemic, our Filipino community stepped up not only for ourselves, but the world around us. As a community we were on the frontlines as the coronavirus touched every part of our lives. From doctors to nurses to caregivers to teachers, firefighters, police officers, and more, we put our bodies and minds at the forefront because we believe that we are only as strong as one another. As the fastest- growing Asian American community in the United States, our values shape the direction of the world around us and the people who live in it. Our community is in YOU.

As we emerge from the pandemic, we are once again on the frontlines to signal hope and optimism around the world. It is with the same heart and passion we put into protecting the people around us that we re-awaken the events and celebrations that we were not able to share in the same way over the past year. This year’s Pistahan Festival is a testament and manifestation of that passion and commitment to the understanding that we will renew, recover, and rise – TOGETHER.

A global celebration of Filipino culture and cuisine, the 2021 Pistahan Virtual Parade and Festival will take place online at www.pistahan.net, and streaming live on Facebook, YouTube, and Kumu starting on Saturday, Aug.14 through Sunday, Aug. 15 from 11am to 4pm Pacific Time.

We’ve produced Pistahan 2021 to bring the best of Filipino culture virtually to you at home with an online parade, performances, cooking demos, tech talks, and many more activities. Our team is coming up with really amazing and inspired ways to showcase Filipino art, cuisine, music, dance, and traditions, and provide space for visibility and representation. With our second virtual Pistahan, we are committed to bringing to you a community-driven event that creates meaningful engagement and participation by Filipinos in the diaspora, creates a platform for all to discover Filipino culture and heritage, and brings wholesome entertainment and joy.
