The 26th March: Independence Day of Bangladesh. It commemorates the country's declaration of independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan in the early hours of 26 March 1971.In order to increase the awareness of Bangladesh's Independence Day celebration in the province of Quebec, Montreal's Cote-des-Neiges-NDG Borough has recognized the month of March as "Bangladeshi Heritage Month".
Bangladesh Socio-Cultural Forum of Canada (BSCF) is going to celebrate "Bangladesh Independence Day and Bangladeshi Heritage Month" on March 26th, 2025 at 6767 Cote des Neiges, from 5pm to 9pm.
The program will include a flag hoisting ceremony, patriotic speeches, cultural performances, Iftar Mahfil, and a variety of activities celebrating our heritage.
