About this Event

About the Event

Do you enjoy solving puzzles and working things out? Have you ever played social deduction or bluffing games like Werewolf or Mafia, or watched The Traitors on TV and thought the traitor was so obvious? I’m looking for people to join me to play Blood on the Clocktower, a social deduction game full of mystery, bluffing and laughter.

It’s a bit like Werewolf, Mafia, Among Us, and The Traitors combined, but with more twists and hopefully no tears at the end. Players are split into a good team and an evil team (assigned at random) and must work out who’s who based on clues, conversation and a few unexpected surprises. It feels a little like a live M**der mystery where everyone has a role to play.

Each game works best with between 7 and 15 players and usually lasts between 30 and 90 minutes. It’s very interactive, social and suitable for complete beginners as well as seasoned players. Honestly, some of the best moments come from people who have never played anything like it before.

In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff, a Demon walks among you. Each player takes on a unique role, perhaps a Townsfolk with valuable information to share, or a Minion working secretly for evil. By day, you’ll discuss, accuse and vote to execute those you suspect of being demons. By night, the Storyteller leads players through their hidden abilities. The good must uncover the Demon before the town is lost.

Both newcomers and experienced players are welcome. The Storyteller will explain the rules and guide everyone through the first game. Even if your character dies, you’ll stay in the action as a ghost, still influencing the outcome right to the end.

Format

We aim to start promptly at 10:30am. If you’re running late, you can still join as a Traveller, so you won’t miss out.
Games usually last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on numbers, and we’ll aim for at least two full games during the session.
Script complexity will match player experience. We use all three base scripts (Trouble Brewing, Bad Moon Rising and Sects & Violets) along with custom community scripts for added variety.

This session takes place at Wallace House Community Centre in Evesham.
The event is on the ground floor and fully wheelchair accessible.

Please note that we share the space with others running tabletop games. We have our own corner set aside, so we ask everyone to be considerate with noise levels.

What to Expect

Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game for 7 to 20 players. The good team must work together to identify and execute the Demon before it’s too late. The evil team must lie, deceive and manipulate to protect their master.

No two games are ever the same. It’s a social, logical and often hilarious experience that mixes mystery, performance and puzzle solving.
